This is a birthday party that I’ve been meaning to make for ages. It’s a simple but very elegant affair. It’s also one of those occasions where if you don’t have a lot of cake or a lot of supplies you can still have a party that’s a blast. This year I had a lot of help. I had a few friends over to help me celebrate, as well as some extra cake.
For the birthday party I decided to do a little ‘party cake’ with all the trimmings. My favorite part was the way that the frosting started. I did a simple buttercream frosting with strawberries and cream cheese and drizzled it with brown sugar. For the icing I used my favorite vanilla flavored frosting recipe. I used the recipe on my recipe card but did not put in the vanilla.
I used to have a recipe card laying around of the exact same thing. I just didn’t remember where I put it. This recipe card had a simple frosting recipe on it, and I just used that.
The story-telling elements are so simple yet so effective, in my opinion, that it’s the best thing that ever happened to this game. You might as well start out with a simple story of a small girl who had a big party. Next up, you’ll have to make it entertaining for your characters, and then you’ll have to figure out how to make the party go the party-side way.
