The cake is a basic chocolate cake with the addition of vanilla ice cream and buttercream frosting. As the cake cools, you’ll want to add the icing until it’s the consistency of a thick, luscious chocolate cake.
This recipe is pretty simple. It has one step. Add the chocolate buttercream frosting and refrigerate for 3 hours. Youll have the best looking cake youve ever seen.
The icing you need is buttercream. I like to use the store bought kind because when it comes to icing, they usually have the best quality and consistency. This is also a really easy recipe to do. The only thing you need to do is add the icing to the fridge for 3 hours. Then the cake should be ready to serve. You might want to have the cake out of the fridge by the time it is time to serve the kids.
The Frosting. The base (if you’ve never seen it before, it’s a thick, smooth, buttery consistency, not gummy) is buttercream. It’s the frosting in the cake. You need a butter knife to frost it. And you need a cake pan to do the icing in. For the frosting I use a stand mixer. The recipe is at the top of the page. For the icing I use my hand mixer.

The cake toppers make a little girl’s cake and would be perfect for a birthday party. The cake toppers are made of wheat flour and milk. I really like the texture of the icing to make it a bit more “spooky” to eat. I made them the other day, by making them into cake shape and then sprinkling the icing over it.
The icing is made of white icing, but I’ve made it pinkish, and I just wanted to show you how simple it is to make. You could probably use any type of frosting without much effort, but I think the pinkish color makes the icing a bit more interesting.
